Channel Testing

Here is a document to assist with all testing scenarios

Testing - Retrieve Configurations (/configurations)

Step 1: Connect to Resly Channel

  1. Log in to Resly.
  2. Click on your property name in the top-right corner (dropdown arrow).
  3. Select Resly Connect.
  4. Click on Channel Mapping.
  5. Select the name of your channel. (TODO: Confirm exact name/path)
  6. Click New Account.
  7. Enter the following credentials to connect your account:
    1. Channel Account ID
  8. Click Save.
  9. Resly will begin retrieving all room types and rate plans linked to your account.

Note: This may take a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on setup.

  1. Once complete, you should see a list of room types and rate plans grouped accordingly.

Step 2: Map Room Types

  1. Click on Mapping.
  2. Select Map Room Type Plan.
  3. Under the “Channel” section, choose:
    1. Channel Name
    2. Room Type (to be mapped to Resly’s room type)

Step 3 : Map Rate Plans

  1. After mapping a room type, click Map Rate Plan.
  2. Under the “Channel” section, select:
    1. Channel Name
    2. Room Type
    3. Rate Plan
  3. Map these to the corresponding Resly Room Type and Rate Plan.

Once room types and rate plans are mapped, you’re ready to move on to Testing Updates.

Testing Updates

  1. Navigate to Calendar View from the primary navigation on the left.
  2. Locate the mapped room type.

Testing Room block

  1. Select a date for the mapped room type in the calendar.
  2. Block the room for the desired period.
  3. This should update availability to 0, and the change should be received on your end.

Testing Rate plans

  1. Navigate to Reservations in the primary navigation.
  2. Click on Rate Plans.
  3. Locate the mapped room type.
  4. Update the price.
  5. Click Save.
  6. You should receive an update with the new rate.

Updates may take up to 2 minutes.

Testing Stop Sell

  1. Click on Stop Sell in the sub-navigation above the Rate Plans table.
  2. Select the rate plan to stop sell.
  3. Click Save.
  4. You should receive an update.

Updates may take up to 2 minutes.

Testing CTA (closed to arrival)

  1. Click on CTA in the sub-navigation.
  2. Select the applicable rate plan.
  3. Click Save.
  4. You should receive an update.

Updates may take up to 2 minutes.

Testing CTD (closed to departure)

  1. Click on CTD in the sub-navigation.
  2. Select the applicable rate plan.
  3. Click Save.
  4. You should receive an update.

Updates may take up to 2 minutes.

Testing Min Stay

  1. Click on Min Stay in the sub-navigation.
  2. Select the rate plan.
  3. Enter the minimum stay value.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You should receive an update.

Updates may take up to 2 minutes.

Testing Max Stay

  1. Click on Max Stay in the sub-navigation.
  2. Select the rate plan.
  3. Enter the maximum stay value.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You should receive an update.
